I enjoy climbing challenging peaks in the Sierra Nevada (over rock or snow), and also desert peaks. My favorite climb this past summer was the East Face of Mt Whitney. I enjoy backpack trips and long dayhikes. I'm an M-rated leader in the SPS and a WTC group leader. I do some 5th class climbing, canyoneering and biking as well. Internationally, I've climbed Orizaba and Ixta (Mexico), Triglav (Slovenia) and rockclimbed in Yangshou, China and at the Grampians NP (Australia--my birthplace).
