Backpacked the upper 2/3's (1400 miles approx.) of the Appalachian Trail back in the early 70's and the early 80's. Have hiked extensively in the so. Cal. mtns. Currently, I am only beginning to discover the awesome Sierra Nevada. Experience level to this date- class 3 but aiming a little higher. I do have a long range goal of experiencing as many SPS peaks as time allows.
