Lundy Canyon Ice
(Lundy Falls)

2 Dec 2007 - Jonathan Willy (view Who's Who entry)

Lundy falls is in. The road is clear and you can ride your bike to the trailhead with ease. The climb is a bit thin, you'll probably want a couple of knifeblades for pro. The rock looks bad for gear but you may be able to get a piece in here or there. We did the climb in 3 pitches with a 70m rope. However, this required a bit of simu-climbing and breaking it up into 4 pitches would be optimal. The third pitch was simply amazing, beautiful cauliflower and chandeliers. We both agreed that the route felt somewhere in the 2+/3- range with great climbing the whole way up. Take a couple of pairs of gloves, there is some water present.
