Nevahbe Ridge, Mt. Morgan
14 Jun 2003 - Steve Powell (view Who's Who entry)
Recently attempted the Nevahbe Ridge on Mt.Morgan(north). I had read that this is a classic climb. I found that not to be the case. The rock on this route is loose and chossy. Additionally, the route is long and has a lot of scree. I would not recommend doing this route; and the mountain itself would be better as a snowclimb. Also,at times of high water, crossing McGee Creek can be tricky. We only found one decent set of logs to cross on. This crossing is due east of the campground.
